AFCLC Scholars Program

The AFCLC Scholars program is designed to accelerate the development of leaders of character who have a passion for elevating people, organizations, and communities. Participating students are selected from Master of Science in Management (MSM), Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), and/or the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) academic programs. Scholars are defined by their leadership experience and character. They are engaged in their community, globally-minded, and driven to lead with integrity. Upon completing the AFCLC Scholars program, students will emerge with a sophisticated leadership mindset and heightened self-awareness, backed by a fuller understanding of the leader development process. They will build a professional leader network, gain exposure to future career paths and enhance their community through a student project.

2025-2026 Cohort

The AFCLC Scholars โ€˜25-26 Cohort spent the year participating in a series of enrichment sessions designed to hone leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Each student was mentored and coached by an AFCLC Executive Affiliate. The cohortโ€™s annual team project focused on resolving a leadership challenge facing a local organization.

2024-2025 Cohort

The inaugural cohort of AFCLC Scholars were inspired by an October โ€˜24 enrichment session in which Allen Joines, mayor of Winston-Salem, shared his appreciation for A Bed and A Book, a non-profit serving children in the local community. In response, the cohort focused its group project on the organization, setting up campus infrastructure to support A Bed and A Book for years to come.

AFCLC Scholars Program

The AFCLC Scholars program is designed to accelerate the development of leaders of character who have a passion for elevating people, organizations, and communities.

Participating students are selected from Master of Science in Management (MSM), Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), and/or the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) academic programs. Service Academies Leadership Conference Program

Since 2013, the ACLC has proudly sponsored the Service Academy Leadership Conference Program allowing five undergraduate business school students to attend leadership conferences at four U.S service academies. This opportunity is designed for students who exhibit a strong foundation in values and passion for leadership. Attendees will act as ambassadors for the Wake Forest University Business School. Each conference typically includes panel discussions, speakers, and breakout sessions that focus on developing leadership skills and critical thinking while navigating global challenges.
