Welcome MSA New Students

Welcome to the Wake Forest community! We are excited to work with you to ensure that the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program is a challenging and rewarding experience. In this section of the website, you will find pertinent information and materials to prepare you for the upcoming school year. Please read all pages thoroughly and carefully. Additionally, after you activate your WFU email account, we strongly encourage you to check it regularly for University and School related action items and information.

NEXT STEPS

As a first step, make sure you submit your enrollment deposit to officially accept our offer of admission. Next, we recommend you review the information and action items in the timeline below to help facilitate your transition to Wake Forest.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

  1. August 2025 (days TBD) – Summer Meet the Firms (if you did not attend in February)
  2. August 21 & 22, 2025 – New Student Orientation (mandatory for all students)
  3. August 25, 2025 – First day of MSA Classes

COMPLETE WHEN YOU ACCEPT OUR OFFER OF ENROLLMENT

  1. Submit Your Enrollment Deposit: As indicated in your admission letter, submit your non-refundable Enrollment Deposit.
  2. Complete the FAFSA: Start the financial aid process by filling out the FAFSA. Fall semester start students should complete the 2025-26 FAFSA and if you are here for summer courses, complete the 2024-25 FAFSA. Visit Financial Aid section for guidance.

COMPLETE AFTER YOUR ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT

  1. Activate Your WFU Account: Activate WFU account and enable Google 2-Step Verification within 10 days of receiving the account activation email you should expect within a few days of making your enrollment deposit. Your WFU email account will be used for important communications. Please be sure to check it regularly. Find instructions in the Computing section. Please note the MS in Accountancy program DOES NOT allow Macintosh laptops.
  2. Complete Onboarding in Workday: Log in to Workday with your WFU account to begin the formal University required onboarding processes. Visit the Workday Student Support page for important resources, including a detailed Onboarding Job Aid.
  3. Student ID Card: Obtain your Deacon OneCard – the official Wake Forest University identification card. Students will see this as a task in Workday.
  4. Complete Student Survey: Complete the required survey form for deposited MSA students, which will be emailed to students in the spring.
  5. International Students Only: Watch for instructions on I-20 documentation to your WFU account a week after WFU email activation.

COMPLETE BY MAY 15, 2025

  1. Secure Local Housing: For more information on local housing options, visit the Housing section.  You do not need to let us know your chosen housing option.
  2. Review Parking Information: If you are taking summer foundational courses, register your vehicle and obtain a summer parking pass. You will be contacted in early April to discuss summer registration. If you plan to park on campus during the fall semester, you will need to purchase a parking permit. Visit the Parking section for details on parking and campus shuttle options.

COMPLETE BY JUNE 30, 2025

  1. Submit Your Final Transcript: An official final transcript indicating degree(s) earned is due prior to enrollment. Visit Final Transcript for additional details on this important, mandatory requirement.

COMPLETE BY JULY 31, 2025

  1. Purchase Textbooks: Information regarding required textbooks will be sent in the spring.
  2. Secure Required Health Insurance & Immunizations: All students must complete the WFU Health and Immunization form. Visit Health and Immunization section for important details, options, and dates.
  3. Consider Tuition Insurance: An elective tuition insurance plan could help minimize financial loss from an unexpected withdrawal due to sickness or injury. Must apply before first day of classes.
