Grad Syllabus Statements
Wake Forest University School of Business Graduate Programs
Centralized Syllabus Policy Statements & Institutional Expectations
This page contains the institutional policy statements applicable to graduate business students at the Wake Forest University School of Business.
It is designed to serve as a centralized companion to individual course syllabi. Instructors may link directly to this page rather than reproducing institutional policy language in full. Course syllabi will also include instructor-specific expectations and requirements.
Students are responsible for understanding both:
- The institutional policies outlined here, and
- The course-specific policies described in each syllabus.
These shared expectations promote integrity, professionalism, safety, and mutual respect across all graduate business programs.
Academic Integrity & The Graduate Business Honor Code
All graduate business students are bound by the Wake Forest University School of Business Graduate Honor Code.
The Honor Code is built on four principles:
I will not lie.
I will not cheat.
I will not steal.
I have a duty to report any honor violation of which I am directly aware.
The Honor Code reflects the School’s expectation that all academic and professional work be conducted with honesty and integrity. Violations may result in significant academic consequences, up to and including dismissal from the program.
The full Honor Code, including definitions and procedures, is available in Chapter I of the Graduate Student Handbook, which is available here: https://business.wfu.edu/students/academic-services/
Questions or Concerns About Academic Integrity
The Graduate Business Programs Honor Council serves as the designated body for the formal review and adjudication of alleged Honor Code violations.
Students who have questions about academic integrity expectations are encouraged to:
- Seek clarification directly from their instructor whenever possible
- Review the Graduate Student Handbook
- Consult available School resources, including the Honor Council
When uncertainty exists regarding collaboration, technology use (including AI tools), or assignment expectations, students should ask in advance. Clarifying expectations early is always the best course of action.
