Wake Forest Center for Retail Innovation to Host Innovation Fair at Charlotte campus
“Marketing to an Aging Population” will be the theme of the inaugural Retail Innovation Fair presented by the Wake Forest University Center for Retail Innovation and sponsored by CVS Caremark.
“The senior population worldwide is a critical ‘age wave’ that continues to grow in importance for most shopper-focused companies. As technology changes, the opportunities for retail marketing to seniors continue to grow,” said Professor Roger Beahm, Executive Director of the Center for Retail Innovation.
Larry Merlo, CEO of CVS Caremark, will be featured speaker at an opening reception at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. This is event is open to registrants only.
On Friday, Sept. 14, companies will converge at the Wake Forest Charlotte Center, 200 North College Street for a Retail Innovation Fair to showcase their innovative products, services and solutions that help seniors live better lives. The Fair will include retailer, manufacturer and channel partner exhibits and feature the following presentations: “Driving Growth in the Golden Years” by Susan Viamari, Editor, SymphonyIRI Group; “The Senior Dynamic Today” by Chris Grey, Senior Strategist, Zillner Group; and “The Senior Shopportunity” by Kate Newlin, author of Shopportunity! A Manifesto for the Retail Revolution.
The Center for Retail Innovation will give awards for Best Use of Technology and Best Consumer Engagement, as well as an overall Grand Prize.
