WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest University Schools of Business Professor Ron Thompson has accepted an invitation to serve as a senior editor for MIS Quarterly, the leading peer-reviewed scholarly journal featuring Information Systems research and issues.
Currently an associate editor for MIS Quarterly, Thompson will take on senior editor duties for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2012. He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of AIS, and co-authored the textbook Information Technology and Management.

This is a well-deserved honor for Ron and demonstrates the high standing and reputation that our faculty members have in the global community of scholars,” said Charles Iacovou, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty, Wake Forest University Schools of Business.
Thompson joined Wake Forest in July of 2000 and teaches courses in information technology management, database management and emerging information technologies. In 2010, the Schools of Business research committee honored Thompson with the Cowan Faculty Research Award.
