Fairfax Reynolds (MBA '77) Named Alamance County Market President for VantageSouth Bank

Longtime bank executive joins VantageSouth team

Longtime Alamance County bank executive Fairfax Reynolds has joined VantageSouth Bank as Alamance County market president.

Reynolds has over 30 years experience in the banking industry, with much of that time spent in Alamance County. He previously worked as central regional president and executive vice president of business development for Capital Bank.

“The combination of knowledge, experience and leadership Fairfax brings to the bank will keep us well positioned to continue our path of success as we effectively serve the banking needs of Burlington and Alamance County,” said VantageSouth Board Chairman Scott Custer.

Reynolds is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received an MBA from Wake Forest University Babcock School of Management. He currently serves on the Boards of the Alamance Community College Foundation and Twin Lakes Retirement Center. He is Chairman of the Board for The Alamance Foundation. VantageSouth welcomes Reynolds and is looking forward to a successful future with him.

His official start date is July 1, 2011.

VantageSouth opened in March 2006. The bank’s headquarters is located at 708 S. Church St. in Burlington. Another branch is located at 3725 S. Church St. in west Burlington.
