The 2019 Gaidar Forum, one of the most significant political and economic events in Russia, invited Dean Charles Iacovou to present during a roundtable discussion. The Forum brings together leading Russian and foreign experts, politicians, business leaders, political analysts, economists, and academics. A major role at this, the 10th Gaidar Forum, was devoted to education and the prospects for its development. The session focused on how leading business schools develop a strategy in our digitally connected world.

There, Iacovou said shifting the emphasis to what will be relevant in the future is essential, and other business schools need to focus on market needs as Wake Forest has. Discussion participants concluded that most world business schools have to respond quickly to fast-changing external conditions and show more flexibility concerning business demands.
