Charlotte MBA graduates honor two Wake Forest professors
Professors Chet Miller and Dan Fogel of Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management received Faculty Recognition Awards from students in the August 2006 graduating class of the Wake Forest Evening MBA Program ~ Charlotte.
The awards are given to educators for outstanding contributions to the education and personal development of students. The students chose Miller as the outstanding faculty member from their first year of studies and Fogel from their second year. Both professors teach classes at the Babcock School’s campuses in Charlotte and Winston-Salem.
Miller, a Farr Leadership Fellow, is a member of the organizational studies faculty and academic director of the Fast-Track Executive MBA Program. His expertise is in change management, strategic visioning and high-commitment/high-involvement approaches to managing people. His published research focuses on the functioning of management teams, the design of organizational structures and management systems, and the design of strategic decision processes. He earned a BA and a PhD at the University of Texas at Austin. | |
Fogel, executive professor of strategy, specializes in international business and strategy, and strategic management in firms in emerging and transition economies and in emerging industries, principally biotechnology. Fogel’s published research includes work on behavioral studies, education, health care, psychology, sociology and economics. He also has written three books on managing in emerging market economies. Fogel earned a BS and an MA from Pennsylvania State University and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin. |
