Babcock Sponsors Right Moves for Youth Twilight 5K race

Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management is sponsoring the 12th annual Right Moves for Youth’s Twilight 5K Road Race and Walk on May 9 in Charlotte.

It is the fourth year in a row that the race has been sponsored by the MBA Programs for Working Professionals in Charlotte. The event, which is part of the Run For Your Life Grand Prix Series, follows a route through uptown Charlotte and is expected to attract more than 2,000 entrants.

“Sponsoring the race is a wonderful match for Wake Forest because Right Moves for Youth strives to educate, motivate and encourage young people to become successful members of their communities,” said Leslye Gervasi, director of Babcock’s Charlotte MBA programs. “We support the motto of the university, Pro Humanitate, for the good of humanity, by educating leaders who are interested and involved in their communities.”

Right Moves For Youth, a non-profit United Way organization, works with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, local law enforcement agencies and other community partners to help its members in grades 3-12 improve their school attendance, behavior and academic performance.
