Business Leaders Focus on Social Responsibility

The recession is officially over, but most companies are still closely watching their bottom line. One survey shows small and big companies won’t return to pre-recession employment levels until 2011.
While companies continue to be conservative with jobs and benefits, what about “The Triple Bottom Line?” It refers to companies conducting business in a responsible manner, focusing on people, planet and then profit.
This year’s North Carolina CEO Forum addressed social responsibility yesterday in Raleigh.
