Wake Forest University Charlotte Center Recognized for its Architectual Design
American School & University has honored the Wake Forest University Charlotte Center with an Outstanding Design Award in the category of Adaptive Reuse.
The Center, located at 200 North College Street in Charlotte, is in the heart of the city’s Uptown business and financial district.
It opened in January of 2012 and serves as the home of Wake Forest’s Charlotte MBA programs for working professionals and executive and continuing education courses.
Jenkins Peer Architects designed the 25,000 sq. ft. Wake Forest Charlotte Center with collaborative learning and an open concept in mind.
The awards jury said, “Remarkable transformation of a tired building with multi-use, technology-driven spaces. Great recognition of the institution. Collaborative, flexible learning spaces.”
