Spring Equinox Celebration & Earth Month Kickoff
Welcome spring and celebrate the start of Earth Month at Wake Forest at the Office of Sustainability's annual Spring Equinox celebration! Join us for live music, upcycling crafts presented by campus and community partners, plant-forward food, and interactive learning with farm animals and the gardens bees. All members of the Wake Forest University community students, faculty, staff, and their families are invited to welcome the transition to spring and kick off Earth Month at this event. The 2025 Spring Equinox Celebration will take place on Sunday, March 30 from 4:00 6:00 PM at the Campus Garden on Polo Road. In todays global economy, organizations are continuously becoming more diverse. This broadening diversification of organization members includes cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, age, gender, and sexual orientation. Thus, it is imperative people managers understand how to effectively lead individuals who are different from them. Leaders who can bring an array of diverse individuals together and form a cohesive team aligned on common goals, purpose, and values will gain a competitive advantage. This 1-day program provides participants with the knowledge and tools to understand and effectively lead people who are different from them. Participants also gain insights into how to shape the teams or organizations culture to create an environment that is authentic and brings out the best in everyone. Furthermore, it is also important that leaders know how to shape a learning culture to facilitate continuous adaptation and improvement. Leaders who can effectively lead change gain a competitive advantage for their teams and organizations. This 1-day program will provide the participant with the knowledge and tools to effectively plan and lead change and to shape a learning culture in their organization. Participants are encouraged to bring information (or challenge) regarding an on-going or future change effort in their teams or organizations.
