The Charlotte Saturday program offers an outstanding opportunity for managers, professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners to acquire or improve strategic management skills. Designed to produce an integrated educational experience, the program is more than simply a collection of courses. Admission standards, the sequence of classes, enrichment activities and other aspects mesh to create a unique perspective on management. Given the program's practical nature, you can immediately apply concepts and techniques learned in class to benefit your organization. In turn, you can bring challenges from your business or workplace into the classroom to deepen discussions and add a practical dimension to coursework. STUDENTS The program is designed for individuals with a minimum of three years of work experience who want to augment their skills and knowledge. Each entering class includes managers and professionals from large and small organizations as well as business owners and entrepreneurs. Students come from both the profit and nonprofit sectors. The program's schedule and location attracts students from beyond the Charlotte metropolitan area and includes students from a wide area in North and South Carolina. SCHEDULE
Classes are held from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer) for 37 Saturdays a year for two years. Students attend classes for three semesters each year. A new class begins the program each January. STUDY TEAMS Students are assigned to self-directed study teams of five or six individuals with diverse educational and work backgrounds.
