Haresh Gurnani, executive director of the Center for Retail Innovation was quoted in a Marketwatch story about the growth of e-commerce.

Even though each retailer has to manage individual e-commerce issues, there are four basics that the entire sector has to get right, according to Haresh Gurnani, executive director of the Center for Retail Innovation at Wake Forest University School of Business.

“Retailers must have a convenient, easy-to-use website,” said Gurnani. “They must also fulfill orders quickly and efficiently. Retailers should be transparent about shipping costs, waivers and return procedures. Lastly, retailers need to ensure privacy and control fraud.”
