12.18.2012 News Release

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Wake Forest University Schools of Business full-time MBA program is once again ranked among the leading business schools in the U.S. by Poets&Quants. For the second consecutive year, Wake Forest was ranked among the top 40 schools at #38.

The Poets&Quants list of top full-time MBA programs is a composite of the five most influential business school rankings, including Financial Times, The Economist, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report. Poets&Quants was founded by the former BusinessWeek.com editor-in-chief John Byrne.

"Compared to most other rankings, the P&Q analysis leads to a far more stable and therefore more credible list," said John Byrne, founder of Poets&Quants and former editor-in-chief of BusinessWeek.com.

Poets&Quants takes into account quantitative and qualitative data captured such as: surveys of corporate recruiters, MBA graduates and deans; faculty publication records; median GPA and GMAT scores for entering students; and salary and employment statistics from the latest graduating class.

“Wake Forest’s continued impressive ranking on the Poets&Quants list is a good indicator of consistent high-level performance,” said Steve Reinemund, Dean of Business. “The faculty and staff should be commended for their commitment to helping students discover their passions and aligning them with careers of significance.”

Schools were ranked based on a combined index, weighting the BusinessWeek ranking 25%, the Forbes ranking 25%, the U.S. News & World Report rankings 25%, the Financial Times rankings 15%, and The Economist ranking 10%.
