Wake Forest University earned a top spot among the nation’s best undergraduate business schools, earning the No. 13 overall ranking in the Poets & Quants 2026 list. The program secured high marks across multiple subcategories, including teaching quality, career advising, and workforce preparation, according to alumni evaluating their undergraduate experience.

“It is rewarding to see our undergraduate program recognized among the top 15 nationally in this year’s Poets & Quants rankings. While rankings provide a useful snapshot, what matters most to us is what drives that recognition: the voices of our students and alumni, the strength of our faculty, and the outcomes our graduates achieve. At the Wake Forest School of Business, we believe in the power of business to build a better world, and we are committed to developing analytical, ethical leaders prepared to do just that,” said Stacie Petter, Acting Dean. “We take pride in preparing our students for success by equipping them to launch their careers, while instilling the judgment, character, and sense of purpose to lead meaningful, impactful lives over the long term.”

The ranking is based on three equally weighted categories: admission standards, career outcomes, and academic experience. Notably, Wake Forest ranked No. 9 in the Career Outcomes category, which measures the employment rate of graduating business students. Highlighting the program’s success in career development, 98 percent of students secured full-time employment within six months of graduation.

As one Wake Forest undergraduate business alumnus shared in the Poets & Quants alumni survey, “The WFU faculty and staff are amazing! The professors are genuinely interested in your education and experience, the career coaches are the reason I was able to choose between multiple dream job offers, and the class registration was never stressful thanks to the amazing academic advisors!”

The Academic Experience category considers alumni feedback over the past three years. Within the category’s several subcategories, the program scored within the top 20.

  • No. 2 in Teaching Quality
  • No. 2 in Preparing Students for Desired Companies
  • No. 7 in Career Advising
  • No. 9 in Effectiveness in Preparing Students for the Workforce
  • No. 12 in Academic Advising
  • No. 16 in Worth the Cost
  • No. 20 in Strength of Alumni Network and Impact Throughout a Graduate’s Career

“This ranking is a powerful validation of the student experience shaped by the many individuals committed to our Undergraduate Business Program within the School of Business. This achievement is a credit to our remarkable students, the dedication of our career management colleagues, and our exceptional faculty, who ensure that our graduates are uniquely prepared to lead in the global workforce. We are also incredibly proud to see our alumni affirm the enduring value of their education,” said Kenny Herbst, Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Business Program.

Wake Forest’s Undergraduate Business Program offers degrees in Finance, Business and Enterprise Management, Decision Analytics, and Accounting.
