VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Students in the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University met today with the U.S. Ambassador to Austria.

The ambassador and his staff met with the students to discuss how U.S. businesses can enter the Austrian market, the impact of the current euro markets crisis on European and American industry, and the relationships between industry and politics in foreign nations.

Ambassador William Eacho was appointed in 2009 by President Obama. Although he is a Duke graduate, he warmly welcomed Wake Forest students “from ACC country” to the U.S. Embassy in the heart of Vienna.

The Wake Forest students are studying abroad during the fall semester under the direction of Dr. Page West, Professor of Business in the Schools of Business. The students are taking two business classes taught by Dr. West, as well as history, art, and German classes taught by Viennese-based faculty. They reside in the Flow House, an elegant home donated to Wake Forest by the Flow family of Winston-Salem.
