Veterans Encouraged to Apply for Military MBA Scholarship

Military MBA Offers $15,000 in V-Day Scholarships for Veterans

November 11, 2011 – In recognition of military men and women and their service to our nation this Veterans Day, Military MBA is offering several merit scholarships totaling $15,000 to assist veterans who want to further their education and pursue a graduate degree in business. All veterans enrolled in a qualifying MBA program for the upcoming academic year are encouraged to apply. Recipients of these one-time scholarships will be announced in January.

“As one of the largest education and career resource networks dedicated to serving military personnel, Military MBA is proud to extend this opportunity to the men and women who put their country first,” notes Greg Eisenbarth, Military MBA executive director. “These scholarships will help recipients as they pursue their MBA education goals and bring more qualified and highly-skilled job candidates into the workforce.”

The leadership skills, worth ethic, and discipline developed through military service combined with an MBA education is a winning formula, highly sought after by corporate recruiters. These job candidates represent a distinct advantage to companies with their proven ability to achieve greater levels of organizational performance than their peers. According to industry studies, companies led by former-military CEOs achieve higher average returns than the S&P 500 index, perform better during industry downturns, and are able to reduce corporate investment in capital and R&D.

Applications for Military MBA’s V-Day merit scholarships are being accepted until December 31, 2011. Veterans interested in applying should visit at (www.militarymba.net/scholarship) for more information.
