By Stephanie Skordas, Sr. Associate Director, Communications
The Center for Leadership and Character sponsors Wake Forest University undergraduates to attend various leadership conferences hosted by U.S. military branches. The annual conferences bring together distinguished scholars, military leaders, corporate executives, and world-class athletes to motivate and equip attendees for honorable living and effective leadership.
- Morgan Briggs (BS ’19), John Triplett (BS ’19), and Christine Pangborn (BS ’20) attended the U.S. Air Force Academy National Character and Leadership Symposium Feb. 21-11 in Colorado Springs, CO. This two-day symposium provides an opportunity for all Academy personnel, visiting university students and faculty, and community members to experience dynamic speakers and take part in group discussions to enhance their own understanding of the importance of sound moral character and good leadership.
- Skylar Liang (BS ’19) and Chrysa Livanos (BS ’20) attended the U.S. Naval Academy Leadership Conference in Annapolis, MD Jan. 21-24. This year’s theme was “Inside Out Leadership: Know yourself first” and focused on self-awareness and playing to the inherent strengths and weaknesses as crucial skill sets for leaders. These skills help build effective teams. Liang and Livanos share their experiences here.
