RSM McGladrey is the new accounting, tax and consulting sponsor for Wake Forest’s Family Business Center in the Triad and Charlotte Metro.

RSM McGladrey is a leading provider of professional services and is the official accounting, tax and business consulting firm of the PGA of America. The firm serves clients’ business needs by working with the partner-owned CPA firm McGladrey & Pullen LLP in an alternative practice structure within RSM International, an affiliation of independent accounting and consulting firms.

“We are absolutely ecstatic that RSM McGladrey has joined our family of sponsors,” says Tom Ogburn, director of the Family Business Center. “Their concern for family and closely held businesses, coupled with the undisputed high caliber of their experts, make them a wonderful partner for the Family Business Center and a wonderful asset to all of our member companies.”

Steve Menaker, a partner with RSM McGladrey, says that his firm is proud to be associated with the Family Business Center in Winston-Salem and Charlotte.

“The center assists and guides family owned businesses as they deal with their sometimes unique critical issues and share best practices and experiences,” he said.

“We feel that their mission is aligned with our firm’s practice. RSM McGladrey has worked with family owned businesses through their many phases and knows the importance these organizations play in our communities. We support growth and development of our business communities and are dedicated to helping the Family Business Center enhance the value of family owned businesses.”

Other Triad Family Business Center sponsors are the law firm of Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice and BB&T. The Charlotte Metro Family Business Center is sponsored by the law firm of Poyner & Spruill.

The Family Business Center, established in 1999 under the Angell Center for Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest’s Babcock Graduate School of Management, addresses issues faced by closely held and family firms. The member-based organization uses the capabilities and educational resources at Wake Forest, in the community and beyond to provide closely held and family firms the assistance they need to grow and succeed from generation to generation.
