Porsche Worldwide former CEO to speak at Wake Forest University's Family Business Center ~ Triad quarterly forum
Peter W. Schutz, former chief executive officer of Porsche Worldwide and author of “The Driving Force: Extraordinary Results with Ordinary People,” will speak at the Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Management’s Family Business Center ~ Triad first quarterly forum on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Schutz’s topic is “Leadership: The Driving Force.” Copies of Schutz’s book will be provided for purchase by the WFU Bookstore and a book signing will follow. Foreign Cars Europa is bringing Porsches for display and test driving.
“We are delighted that Peter has agreed to speak to our members and to have Foreign Cars Europa as a part of the event,” said Family Business Center Director Kathy Baker. “We hope that our members will take advantage of this opportunity.”
The forum will be held at Wake Forest’s Bridger Field House at BB&T Field from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A continental breakfast is available from 8 – 8:30 a.m.; the program with Schutz starts at 8:45 a.m.; lunch and the Porsche auto display by Foreign Cars Europa begins at 11:30 a.m.
The event is open to the public for a one-time guest fee of $75 per person or $200 for up to four people from the same family or company. If the attendee decides to join the FBC, the guest fee will be applied to the membership fee. FBC members and sponsors are encouraged to bring guests at no charge. The Family Business Center, established in 1999 under the Angell Center for Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest’s Babcock School, addresses issues faced by closely held and family firms. The member-based organization uses the capabilities and educational resources at Wake Forest, in the community and beyond to provide closely held and family firms the assistance they need to grow and succeed from generation to generation.
