A new college ranking from job networking site LinkedIn places the School of Business #10 for Accounting Professionals and #12 for Finance Professionals when it comes to landing desireable jobs at the top companies.
According to LinkedIn, the website identified the top companies where professionals in accounting or finance choose to work. Then they found people on LinkedIn who work in these fields and saw where they went to school. Finally, LinkedIn compared the percentage of alumni working in these fields at these top companies and used that data to create their rankings lists.
LinkedIn has created a blog post that explains the methodology in greater detail, especially why LinkedIn is looking at and defining “desirable jobs” as a factor.
