Students, alumni, friends and family from around the world have the opportunity to help their favorite college win the “Fan Favorite” award in the 13th Annual Wake Forest University Schools of Business Elevator Competition.

Go to ElevatorCompetitionLive.com to cast your vote. The college with the most votes will take home bragging rights and a $1,000 prize.

The following schools are represented this year in the Elevator Competition and are eligible for “Fan Favorite” votes: Babson College, Ball State University, Brigham Young University, Columbia University, Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, Harvard Kennedy School, Johns Hopkins University, Kennesaw State University, Loyola University New Orleans, Michigan Technical University, New York University Stern School of Business, Purdue University, Queen’s School of Business, Sauder University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, Tulane University, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, University of New Orleans, and Wake Forest University.

ElevatorCompetitionLive.com is the premier source of information coming out of the Elevator Competition. The entire weekend of activities will be captured through videos, photo galleries and student blogs.

The “Fan Favorite” online voting will close at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, and the winner will be announced during the Elevator Competition awards ceremony later that evening.

The Elevator Competition is a student-run event organized and produced by 2nd MBA year co-chairs Julie Almendral, Andrew Akers, and Daniel Van Der Merwe, and is supported by a team of more than 35 MBA and Master of Arts in Management (MA) student volunteers. The faculty advisor is Elevator Competition co-founder Stan Mandel, Professor of Practice at Wake Forest University Schools of Business and Director of the Angell Center for Entrepreneurship.

The first place Traditional Business Plan winner will receive $10,000 cash and the highest placing team with an MBA student will receive automatic entry into the Venture Labs Investment Competition. In addition, the winning team can qualify for up to a $500,000 investment from the Piedmont Angel Network. The Social Entrepreneurship top finisher will receive $5,000 cash, and will also advance to the final screening round of the Echoing Green Foundation’s business plan competition.
