The Wake Forest University School of Business is proud to announce the launch of its new Online Master of Accounting (MACC) degree program, created specially for working professionals. The new program emphasizes the importance of analytics and technology in accounting while simultaneously showcasing key skills related to audit and tax.

“Our new Online Master of Accounting program preps graduates with a depth of expertise in accounting and finance, as well as the ability to lead and solve complex problems using analytics and technology,” said Mark Evans, Area Chair and Associate Dean for Accountancy at Wake Forest University School of Business. “The program is invaluable for working professionals with any academic background who aim to advance their current skill set.”

While the School’s current MSA degree caters to those seeking public accounting roles and CPA certification, the MACC degree is designed to be the perfect fit for those pursuing accounting or finance roles in corporate, government, or nonprofit organizations and desiring Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification. The program begins in September 2023 with classes starting September 11. Students can complete the program in 20 months.

The program will include courses in financial reporting, corporate finance, taxation, auditing, analytics, managerial accounting and more. Students will learn from professors who are experienced accounting professionals, in addition to gaining personalized career guidance and preparation services to ensure they are best positioned to reach their professional goals.

“This new degree offering meets the needs of our working professionals and helps our graduates stay ahead in an ever-changing business landscape,” said Sisel Distinguished Dean of Business Annette L. Ranft. “We are excited to expand our educational opportunities and assist individuals in reaching their professional goals.”
