Billy Prim, a serial entrepreneur and founder of Blue Rhino and Primo Water, has joined the Center for the Study of Capitalism as an Executive Affiliate. Prim is a well-known expert in identifying growth opportunities and scaling companies, having led both Blue Rhino and Primo Water to become national brands worth over $300 million each before being sold to larger organizations.

“Billy is a firm believer in the power of principled entrepreneurship to create positive change for individuals and society.” said Christina Elson, Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Capitalism. “I am exceedingly fortunate to count on his experience and advice. Wake Forest students will benefit from getting to know Billy and learning from him how to bring the spirit of principled entrepreneurship to all they do in life.”

“The Center for the Study of Capitalism plays a critical role in educating and preparing young people. To do that it needs to paint a vision of size and significance and to confront head-on the current challenges facing capitalism,” said Prim. “I’m glad to work with Christina and the team and be a key part of that effort.”

Besides his involvement with the CSC, Prim also serves on the Wake Forest University School of Business Board of Visitors and is part of the Philanthropic Advisory Group of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
