Dean Reinemund, Retired Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, Will Join a Coca-Cola Executive for a Charity Event

Former PepsiCo chairman and CEO Steve Reinemund has served on the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. board of directors since 2010, but when he’s in Northwest Arkansas next week it won’t be for a board meeting.

Reinemund will join former beverage rival and Coca-Cola bottling executive Frank Harrison for a unique event called, “Thirsting for Higher Success,” on Thursday, March 29 at the John Q. Hammons Center. To learn more and register for the luncheon event click here.

The executives will sidestep brand loyalty and challenge business leaders as they share secret recipes for personal success and the pivotal role faith played in both their professional and personal lives. Proceeds from the charity luncheon will go to support the non-profit organization, With Open Eyes, that Frank Harrison and his son James co-founded in 2008 to provide support to people in Africa and other struggling countries.

Frank Harrison is a fourth generation leader of what has become the nation’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler. His roots in the Coca-Cola system date back to 1902 when his great-grandfather started one of the first Coca-Cola bottling operations in the country. Today, with operations in parts of 11 states and annual sales of $1.5B, Harrison is focused on creating a culture of servant leaders whose values and actions honor God.

Steve Reinemund is 23-year veteran of PepsiCo who career at the company culminated with service as chairman and CEO. Under his leadership, PepsiCo’s net income increased by 70%, the annual dividend doubled and the company’s market capitalization surpassed $100 billion. He currently serves as Dean of the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University.
