Business Education for Undergraduate Liberal Arts Majors
The Summer Management Program provides valuable business skills in an intensive summer session offering students a solid grounding in the fundamentals of business and management.
The program is open to any non-business student who has completed at least two years of college. This year, we successfully recruited and attracted a record number of students from varying backgrounds, 25% who are diverse and 49% of whom are women.
Over the course of five rigorous and rewarding weeks, students have the opportunity to:
• Gain a solid grounding in the fundamental principles of business
• Learn from outstanding business faculty
• Apply your new knowledge to case studies based on real-world scenarios
• Receive valuable career coaching
• Earn 8 hours of course credit
From being a team player to learning how to interview, this “business boot camp” elevates a student’s Liberal Arts education to a whole new playing field, increasing marketability and opening doors in today’s highly competitive job market.
Subjects covered included Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Law, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, and IT.
