A team of Wake Forest MBA students was a top finisher in a national finance competition (again). This time it was the Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence Finance Case Competition at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and the student team comprised of Full-time first year students Tom Bove, Karl Burns, Varsha Jain, and Sakshi Sharda finished second.

The competition format was intense. The students had five hours to value a firm and create presentation materials without the help of financial templates or outside resources. Competing teams included Emory University, the University of South Carolina, the University of North Carolina, Rice University, Vanderbilt University, Washington University (St. Louis) and Tulane.

Dean Ajay Patel, himself a finance professor, expressed his excitement at this second nationally recognized victory, “our finance students and faculty are world-class.” Congratulations to the Wake Forest student team.
