New for 2025-26, the Accountancy Minor broadens access to business education at WFU. It is designed to provide students from various majors in the WFU College of Arts & Sciences with foundational accounting knowledge and analytical skills that are highly valued in the business world.

With evolving CPA examination eligibility requirements, including changing credit-hour mandates and competency-based pathways, a minor in accountancy offers students a strategic way to meet educational requirements while expanding their career opportunities.

The following courses are required to complete the Accountancy Minor:

  • Introductory Financial Accounting
  • Managerial Accounting
  • Intermediate Accounting I
  • Intermediate Accounting II
  • Taxes and their Role in Business and Personal Decisions
