Make a plan to dedicate a few hours of every day to schoolwork. Stick with that cadence and find ways to integrate it into everything you do. If married or have children, ensure your partner is always aware ahead of times when you’ll be unable to help with kids, etc. Once your that rhythm is set you’ll have a much easier time shifting between family, work and school work without surprises. If you’re not married or don’t have any kids now is a GREAT time to get a head and start the program.

What has been the most impactful part of your program experience so far?

Interacting with other members from my cohort and attending Deacon Weekend in person.

What advice do you have for someone who is considering Wake Forest School of Business online MBA program?

The courses are relevant, the professors are excellent, and the staff care. You will get the same academically rigorous education, but at a much more reasonable cost (when you compare UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke).

I thoroughly enjoyed the OMBA program and, specifically, the asynchronous schedule they operate on. I have had several family members and close friends attend Wake Forest for both undergraduate and graduate degrees and would like the opportunity to give back to a school that has made an impact on my life.

Why did you choose to pursue the OMBA at Wake Forest?

I have had multiple family members attend Wake Forest and associate the university with a strong business background. Additionally, my job is such that I do not always know where I’ll physically be week-to-week and, as such, the asynchronous schedule was important to me.

What has been the most impactful part of your program experience so far?

The smaller class sizes and opportunities to meet with other students and professors. Additionally, our access to student success managers puts this program above much anything else. They are AWESOME!

What advice do you have for someone who is considering Wake Forest School of Business online MBA program?

Be ready to work. During orientation this was jokingly referred to as “Work Forest.” While a bit tongue in cheek, this does hold some merit. You definitely have to put in the work but, the rewards are limitless. I would argue that I have learned more about business here than in my four years of undergraduate.

What has been the most impactful part of your program experience so far?

The program has actually opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities in my job function. Before attending, I had ideas of other areas I could pursue within my industry but the experience in the program has helped me realize the wide open possibilities.

Do your research and match up curriculum, reputation, network against other schools. You’ll likely find that Wake’s program is the best value for the money.

I was interested in becoming an ambassador for the program because I researched ten graduate schools before finding Wake Forest – I feel like I understand the value of the program personally but also the impact it is already having on me professionally. I would like to connect with future students to advocate for the school and learn more about who is pursuing joining our alumni network.

Why did you choose to pursue the OMBA at Wake Forest?

Initially, I was pursuing the hybrid MBA program that is based out of my hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. As my application process continued, I fell in love with the way the online curriculum is constructed, being split into two parts each semester. The value, the challenge, and flexibility of the program really resonated with me and my family.

What has been the most impactful part of your program experience so far?

The most impactful part of the program for me so far has probably been the group project I am currently a part of in my Issues in Diverse Teams class. It is challenging and rewarding to collaborate with talented professionals towards an academic purpose. Second to that, I have learned a lot from the great authors and the textbooks we have been reading this semester.

What advice do you have for someone who is considering Wake Forest School of Business online MBA program?

I would encourage prospective students to connect with any alumni in their network to feel the passion they have for the school and what it can mean down the road in your professional life. I would also recommend that they really work through the curriculum here and they compare it to other schools and find what makes the most sense for them. The cadence of the OMBA program is very unique, yet challenging.
