Biography

Devon P. Jefferson, M.S., Ph.D., CPA (inactive), is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Wake Forest University (WFU). Prior to her role at WFU, Dr. Jefferson worked for nearly ten years in public accounting. She was an Audit Manager in KPMG LLP's Federal Audit Practice in Washington, D.C. and completed a two-year rotation in KPMG's Business School developing and instructing training for lower-level auditors. Dr. Jefferson was also an Audit Manager for Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP in Charleston, West Virginia where she managed audits in a variety of industries including oil and gas, financial institutions, hospitality, construction, and nonprofit organizations. Her research interests include auditors' well-being, intrateam interactions, and judgment and decision-making. She specializes in behavioral research methods.
