He will also reflect on the role of women in shaping environmental policies and movements, based on his book Rachel Carson and Her Sisters: Extraordinary Women Who Have Shaped America's Environment. This talk promises to inspire and empower attendees to consider the ways in which Carson's legacy can inform the ongoing environmental work in North Carolina and beyond.
