Maya Angelou Garden Party 2026
The annual Maya Angelou Garden Party honors Dr. Maya Angelou by celebrating community, storytelling, and art. Hosted by the Wake Downtown Student Ambassadors in partnership with Wake Downtown and ZSR Library each year, this event at Bailey Park is free and open to all. It includes poetry reading and spoken word performances to honor Dr. Angelous literary legacy. Food, music, and lawn games are also part of the celebration. See photos from previous years.
