Student Engagement
As a School of Business alum, you are part of an outstanding network of ethical business leaders who are committed to the ideals of pro humanitate. Volunteering your time and sharing your talent can pay rewards on a personal and professional level, not to mention a fulfilling way to help current students and other members of our community.
We help engage our alumni a number of ways throughout the year and typically share these opportunities through our School of Business monthly newsletter. Outlined below are a few opportunities for alumni to engage with students:
Graduate Consulting Projects
Do you have a business problem for a group of graduate students to tackle? Alumni are invited to provide a Graduate Consulting Project and we’ll match you with a group of creative, solution-oriented business graduate students. Graduate Consulting Projects are an integral part of the Master of Science in Management (MSM) program. Designed to provide students with a world-class experiential learning opportunity, these projects give organizations the benefit of fresh ideas and solutions in business. The MSM consulting projects take place year-round and span all functional areas of business from marketing and human resources to finance and analytics.
Community Business Leader Coaching Program
This program provides a unique opportunity for alumni who are industry professionals to enrich students’ development as both team members and business leaders. Our academic programs use our proprietary 360 Team Member Assessment (TMA) to provide developmental feedback on leader behaviors that contribute to team effectiveness. Results from the TMA provide students insight to enhance self-awareness, personal development, and the impact of high performing teams. Coaches facilitate and support team-level reflection and the creation of a development plan on the TMA feedback process as part of this phenomenal professional development opportunity for both students and coaches.
