Forbes Ranks Babcock Among Nation's Best for Return on Investment
Wake Forest’s Babcock School ranked No. 31 in Forbes magazine’s biennial ranking of the top U.S. business schools that measures students’ return on investment (ROI) in an MBA degree.
The survey results measured the five-year gain experienced by MBA graduates of the class of 2002. The magazine determined average total compensation for MBA graduates in the five years since graduating and subtracted from that total the sum of tuition and compensation missed while a student was enrolled in a full-time MBA program.
According to the survey, Babcock graduates on average experienced a gain of $58,000 over the five-year period and earned enough in increased compensation to pay off their MBA debt in 3.6 years. The average pre-MBA salary for members of Babcock’s class of ’02 was $43,000, and the average salary in 2006 for those graduates was $107,000.
Forbes released the survey results on its Web site on Aug. 16 and included the ranking in its Sept. 3 issue.
