Fortune Small Business Includes Babcock Among America‰'s Best in Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship activities at Wake Forest’s Babcock School have earned it a spot among Fortune Small Business’ list of America’s best colleges for entrepreneurs for 2007.

CEOs and founders from local startups describe their experiences and answer questions from medical, law, and business students in Tom Clarkson’s hybrid class Commercializing Innovation (MGT 5155).

Although not a ranking, 26 schools are included and listed alphabetically. Reasons cited by the publication for including Babcock:

The list resulted from seven months of interviews that Fortune Small Business conducted with hundreds of entrepreneurs, professors, students, alumni, university administrators and venture capitalists. Those interviewed were asked which programs they considered to be the most innovative and effective, and why.

The list is available online and in the September 2007 issue of Fortune Small Business.
