Wake Forest's Babcock Among Top MBA Schools Recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine

Entrepreneur magazine’s sixth-annual ranking of entrepreneurship programs places Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management among the nation’s top graduate business schools.

Entrepreneur and its research partner The Princeton Review have again recognized Babcock as a stellar standout on its honorable mention list along with Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Illinois, the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among others.

The Princeton Review, a leading provider of educational services, solicited survey data from more than 2,300 undergraduate and graduate schools about their offerings in entrepreneurship. The questions used in the final ranking covered three basic areas: academics and requirements, students and faculty, and outside the classroom. Babcock was singled out by Entrepreneur for the Babcock Demon Incubator, which provides support to new ventures for approximately 12 months. The BDI seeks to launch companies that have the potential to create significant economic impact in the Triad through jobs and business investment. This most recent survey did not include a ranking of program directors, but Stan Mandel, director of Babcock’s Angell Center for Entrepreneurship, has previously been recognized by Entrepreneur as No. 3 among the nation’s entrepreneurship program directors, as ranked by his peers.

“The extensive involvement of WFU students, faculty and the greater Winston-Salem community are integral parts of executing, achieving success and gaining recognition,” Mandel said.

Wake Forest’s Babcock School offers programs across two campuses, with a full-time MBA program in Winston-Salem and evening and weekend MBA programs for working professionals in both Winston-Salem and Charlotte, N.C. Babcock also offers four joint-degree programs – JD/MBA, MD/MBA, PhD/MBA and MSA/MBA – through the university’s schools of Law, Medicine, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy, and a 10-month MA in Management program designed specifically for recent college graduates who have majored in liberal arts and sciences and want to learn fundamentals of business and management.
