U.S. News and World Report Ranks Wake Forest Schools of Business in top 10% and Accounting Program in top 5% Nationally

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges guide released today ranks the Wake Forest University Schools of Business undergraduate program 31st in the nation among a total of 455 accredited business schools that were considered.

In the U.S. News and World Report specialty ranking, Wake Forest ranked in the top 5% nationally at 16th and secured its top-20 position in the Accounting category for the fourth consecutive year.

“This ranking speaks to a powerful combination of extremely bright and highly motivated students, a dedicated faculty who restlessly pursue excellence in the preparation of our students, and marketplace constituents who are engaged with us beyond simply hiring our graduates, to assure that our graduates continue to meet their expectations into the future,” said Jack Wilkerson, Senior Associate Dean of Accounting Programs.

For undergraduate business school rankings, U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Wake Forest University ranks 27th among national universities in the U.S. News Best Colleges guide and was recognized for its value, commitment to teaching, student-to-faculty ratio and graduation rates.

The U.S. News rankings are posted on (www.usnews.com). The 2012 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook will be on newsstands Sept. 18.
