Dean Reinemund, who announced his decision to step down as Dean at the end of the academic year, talked with two local reporters about his decision, his time at Wake Forest and his views on leadership.
Winston-Salem Journal business reporter Richard Carver talked with Reinemund about his role as dean and his time at Wake Forest. Reinemund said, “My experience in the business world is that when most people get into trouble on issues, they are making a spur-of-the-moment decision when their moral compass isn’t properly calibrated. If you haven’t thought about the context in which you are making your decision, you can allow the pressures of the moment to allow you to give into the temptation.”

Triad Business Journal higher education reporter Matt Evans talked with Reinemund about merging the two schools into one, and asked him what he’s learned as Dean. Reinemund said, “For one thing, I’ve learned just how committed the faculty and staff here are to the livelihood and success of the education of our students.”
“I’ve worked with many very talented people in my career, but no group more talented than the faculty and staff here, so that’s been a real pleasure for me and my family.”
