New Graduates: Start Here
New Graduates: Start Here
We encourage you to stay connected with the School of Business long after graduation. Once a Biz Deac, always a Biz Deac! As you make the transition to an alum, if you have any questions please reach out. If we can’t help directly, we will find someone who can! Keep in touch with our Alumni Engagement team at sbalumni@wfu.edu.
Here are a few key ways to stay connected:
- Access the Wake Network, our searchable directory. Keep your profile updated and make sure to activate your alumni Gmail account within 60 days of graduation. Important Note: The email address saved in your profile is the one we will use to stay in touch.
- Raise your hand to be added to our alumni volunteer list. Alumni are needed year-round to share their expertise in a number of ways including panels (both virtual and in-person).
- Join the private LinkedIn group “WFU School of Business” to stay in-the-know on referred job listings, happy hours in a city near you and professional development opportunities.
- Continue to use Handshake if you are still seeking a full-time, entry-level role. In order to use Handshake as an alumnus, complete this form to maintain access. The benefits include the option to view new postings from employers (updated daily), to connect to virtual information sessions with employers, and the ability to schedule 1:1 informational interviews with employers who are using this system feature.
Alumni Transition Checklist
The School of Business Help Desk has provided an Alumni Transition Checklist with technology-related action items for students graduating and transitioning out of Wake Forest. This tool provides links to the alumni Gmail account setup process and transferring Google Drive files. IMPORTANT NOTE: Graduates have approximately 60 days after their graduate date to transition their student email account to an alumni Gmail account before their @wfu.edu student email account expires.
