School of Business Recognized with R.I.D.E. Explorer Award

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has announced the R.I.D.E. Departmental Classifications for the 2023-2024 year, and the School of Business is proud to have achieved Explorer Status based on its documented commitment to Inclusive Excellence.

The R.I.D.E. Explorer Award is presented to departments that have demonstrated a strong initial commitment to advancing diversity and are actively exploring innovative strategies for applying the R.I.D.E. initiative. This recognition acknowledges the School of Business for its dedication to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that enhances learning and institutional engagement.

Our journey toward Inclusive Excellence includes:

• Developing a comprehensive R.I.D.E. Plan with strategic SMART goals and a detailed evaluation plan, ensuring a structured approach to achieving inclusive excellence.
• Submitting progress updates on the R.I.D.E. Plan through the Spring Follow-Up Survey, showcasing measurable success and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Effectively communicating R.I.D.E. information through our website and communication materials, promoting visibility and engagement around our initiatives.

This distinction highlights the School of Business as a key contributor to the Realizing Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (R.I.D.E.) Framework, which serves as a guide for advancing inclusive excellence at Wake Forest University. We are honored to receive this award and look forward to continuing our efforts to create lasting, meaningful impact.
