Class Sessions

  • Two virtual, synchronous class sessions (one in January & one in February; Dates: TBD)
  • Virtual discussions & engagement
  • On-ground experiences will provide the majority of contact hours for the course.
  • Students are expected to attend all travel dates and class sessions.

Format

This course will utilize a blended learning experience that will include class readings, guided independent study, team-based assignments, and a final deliverable due approximately one month after travel.

The Onground Experience

  • 5 Nights in Panama & 4 Nights in Bogota
  • Single-room accommodations at high-end hotels* 
  • Airfare from Panama to Bogota 
  • All onground transportation
  • Breakfast each day as well as most lunches and dinners (a few meals will be on your own)
  • Experienced travel guides 
  • Business-focused and cultural excursions, as well as time to explore on your own.
  • Tentative itineraries include: company visits, guided city tours, welcome & departure dinners, cooking classes, a visit to a coffee plantation, hiking and accessible nature excursions, boat rides, and baseball games

*Lodging is only covered for the nights starting on March 8 and ending with the night of March 16.  Any additional nights will be covered by the student.
