Environmental Protection Agency, will deliver the 2026 Mellon Environmental Justice Lecture and hold a public conversation on Thursday, February 5th.

2026 Founders Day
Each year the University marks its founding in February 1834 by coming together to celebrate and reflect on our traditions, our history and our people. Founders Day is also a moment to affirm the Universitys motto Pro Humanitate. The ceremony will be held at at 4 p.m. on February 19, 2026 in Wait Chapel.
Maya Angelou Garden Party 2026
The Maya Angelou Garden Party is an annual event hosted in Bailey Park to honor Dr. Maya Angelou by celebrating community, storytelling, and art. Hosted by the Wake Downtown Student Ambassadors in partnership with Wake Downtown and ZSR Library each year, this event is free and open to the Wake Forest and broader Winston-Salem community. It includes poetry reading and spoken word performances on display to honor Dr. Angelous literary legacy. Food, music, and lawn games are also part of the celebration. Earth Talks is a series of short, student-led presentations that are focused on sustainability topics. Each talk is led by a Wake Forest student or group of students who are eager to share their knowledge, passions, or research with others in the Wake Forest community.
