Each year at graduation, student and faculty are recognized for their work throughout the academic year.

Student Awards

Leadership Award
This award recognized a student in each degree program who demonstrates outstanding leadership, scholastic performance, and integrity, and embodies the vision and values of the School of Business: to develop students who are ready, able, and honorable.

Scarritt Family Pro Humanitate Award

The Scarritt Family Pro Humanitate Award is a student award established specifically for the Masters in Management Program by John (MBA 1979) and Gabriela (MA 2012) Scarritt.

The awards honors two outstanding individuals who exemplify WFU’s motto of Pro Humanitate through their commitment to advancing the greater good as demonstrated by their actions throughout the degree program experience. The winners should have enriched the program during their time as a student and demonstrated a commitment to the community through volunteer work or social outreach. They should be embarking upon a career path centered on a personal commitment to making a positive social impact, using the skills gained at Wake Forest to improve the world around them.

Impactful Pillar Award

This award recognizes an outstanding graduate student within the day-time graduate programs whose actions, commitments, and personal values reflect the educational priority of the School of Business to develop and support IMPACTFUL businesspersons. The recognized student is exceptional for their demonstrated abilities to think strategically, act practically, and communicate effectively as an example for others.

Professional Pillar Award

This award recognizes an outstanding graduate student within the day-time graduate programs whose actions, commitments, and personal values reflect the educational priority of the School of Business to develop and support PROFESSIONAL businesspersons. The recognized student is exceptional for their demonstrated abilities to create value for others, embrace a professional identity, and steward the profession of business as an example for others.

Honorable Pillar Award

This award recognizes an outstanding graduate student within the day-time graduate programs whose actions, commitments, and personal values reflect the educational priority of the School of Business to develop and support HONORABLE businesspersons. The recognized student is exceptional for their demonstrated abilities to lead ethically and exhibit personal strengths as an example for others.

Global Pillar Award

This award recognizes an outstanding graduate student within the day-time graduate programs whose actions, commitments, and personal values reflect the educational priority of the School of Business to develop and support GLOBAL businesspersons. The recognized student is exceptional for their demonstrated abilities to leverage diversity and demonstrate a global mindset as an example for others.

Faculty Awards

Senior Class Teaching Award
The graduating class of Undergraduate program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

MSM Teaching Award
The graduating class of the MSM program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

MSA Teaching Award
The graduating class of the MSA program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

MSBA Teaching Award
The graduating class of the MSBA program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

Charlotte Evening MBA Teaching Award
The graduating class of the Masters in Management program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

Charlotte Saturday MBA Teaching Award
The graduating class of the Masters in Management program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

Winston-Salem Evening MBA Teaching Award
The graduating class of the Masters in Management program gives this award to a member of the faculty who contributes vitally and fundamentally to the education and personal development of the students.

Horace Kelly Alumni Teaching Award
Undergraduate alumni from 10 years ago vote on which faculty member contributed to their education and personal development. Recipients must be a current faculty member and must have taught during the tenure of polled alums.

Kienzle Alumni Teaching Award
MBA, MSA and MSM alumni from 3 years ago vote on which faculty member contributed to their education and personal development. Recipients must be a current faculty member and must have taught during the tenure of polled alums.

T.B. Rose Fellowship in Business
Recognizes a notable innovation or initiative related to instruction in our undergraduate or graduate programs.

Cowan Faculty Research Award
Recognizes a faculty member who represents the highest standards of scholarship.

High Impact Scholarship Award
Recognizes a faculty member for his/her significant influence on business practice or pedagogy.

Service MVP Award
Recognizes outstanding service to the school, above and beyond administrative duties.

Spirit Award
Nominated and voted on by the faculty, this award recognizes a faculty member who displays good citizenship and positive attitude, inspires other faculty to high achievement.
