Building community is something Wake Forest and the School of Business takes seriously, not just on our two campuses but worldwide. Recently, Dean Charles Iacovou traveled to Shanghai, China to meet with alumni, current students and incoming students at a luncheon at the Le Royal Meridien hotel in Shanghai. Nearly 40 people were in the audience, some of whom traveled more than 750 miles from Beijing to attend.

School of Business luncheon in ChinaIacovou shared information about the School’s undergraduate, pre-experience master’s and MBA programs with the families. Senior BEM major William Wang served as the event’s master of ceremonies. He and current students from the programs introduced themselves and talked about their experiences at Wake Forest – the small class sizes, close working relationships with faculty members, and support from leadership on their studies and other projects.

It was also a good opportunity to connect School alumni with students who are currently at Wake Forest or preparing to begin their business education.
