Christina Elson, Executive Director of the Wake Forest University Center for the Study of Capitalism, has been invited to join the Fast Company Impact Council. The invitation-only collective meets several times a year for live events, roundtable discussions, and virtual sessions on some of the most promising opportunities and most pressing challenges of our time.
Known for inviting some of the most innovative and creative leaders in business, the Impact Council is a platform for members to share knowledge, insights and perspectives regarding the role companies and council members can play in shaping the future of social responsibility, ESG, labor relations and beyond.
“The Impact Council unites leaders from diverse industries and backgrounds to solve essential problems in the real world,” said Elson. “I’m thrilled to be part of these critical conversations.”
Elson recently participated in a panel discussion on the “Future of Capitalism” at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Drawing insights from a global opinion poll conducted by Fast Company, the panel examined evolving corporate, government, NGO, and citizen values and how they are shaping capitalism as economic and governing systems.
The Center for the Study of Capitalism supports the public’s ability to make informed choices and construct a society rooted in well-functioning capitalism while facing big challenges like human health, climate change, education, and security and privacy. As Executive Director, Elson helps guide the Center’s exploration of capitalism’s role in shaping the 21st century and the future of humanity.
