Wake Forest University earned a top spot among the nation’s best undergraduate business schools, earning the No. 18 overall ranking in the Poets & Quants 2025 list. The program secured high marks across multiple subcategories, including teaching quality, career advising, and workforce preparation, according to alumni evaluating their undergraduate experience.

“The program’s ranking speaks volumes about the commitment of our students, the enthusiasm and expertise of our faculty, and the supportive nature of our community,” said Kenny Herbst, Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Business Program. “Our goal is to nurture analytical, ethical business leaders who make a difference in the world, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our program on the lives of our students and alumni.”

The ranking is based on three equally weighted criteria: admission standards, career outcomes, and academic experience. Notably, Wake Forest ranked No. 10 in the career outcomes category, which measures the employment rate of graduating business students. Highlighting the program’s success in career development, 92 percent of students secured full-time employment within six months of graduation.

“My time within the School of Business taught me the importance of critical thinking, working in teams, and persevering when faced with challenges. I think those skillsets transcend any one profession and can apply broadly to life after Wake Forest,”  said Chris Lewis, Director of Analytics for Wake Forest Baseball. Lewis earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the business school.

The academic experience category, which considers alumni feedback over the past three years, included several subcategories in which the program scored within the top 20.
