For Kendra Harrington, a Charlotte Evening MBA student, being the first woman in her family to attend college was both a significant and meaningful accomplishment. Following her plan to achieve her MBA when the time was right, Kendra found a program with stellar academics that allowed her career to progress and a location remarkably close to both home and work. Kendra says what helped her make the final decision was her family’s encouragement plus the financial and professional support she has received from the School.
When Heather Duke decided to obtain her MBA, she explored graduate programs from Massachusetts to Florida. Since location wasn’t the main factor, Heather focused on program quality, and found what she was looking for in the Saturday MBA program in uptown Charlotte. When she was offered a scholarship, Heather says she felt not only welcomed, but gained a new sense of belonging in a class of experienced working professionals. As she travels professionally, Heather says Wake’s strong alumni network allows her to make personal and professional connections everywhere she goes.
