WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest University Schools of Business will welcome Dr. Stuart Hart, SC Johnson Chair in Sustainable Global Enterprise and Professor of Management and Organizations at Cornell University, to campus on Monday, Feb. 13 to discuss “Enterprise for a Sustainable World.”
Dr. Hart is one of the world's top authorities on the implications of environment and poverty for business strategy. He is tackling the world’s most pressing social and environmental problems through a new, more inclusive form of commerce: sustainable enterprise. He will share his vision of sustainable enterprise through his new set of guiding principles.
The Wake Forest University Center for Enterprise Research and Education, BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism and Wake Forest University Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, are co-sponsoring the event.
The presentation is Monday, February 13 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Byrum Auditorium (Admissions Center) on the Wake Forest University campus. The event is free and open to the public.
In 1999, Dr. Hart was the recipient of the Faculty Pioneer Award from the World Resources Institute for his ground-breaking work in sustainable enterprise. He has served as consultant, advisor, or management educator for dozens of corporations and organizations including Dupont, S. C. Johnson, General Electric, Baxter Healthcare, Wal Mart, the World Economic Forum, and the Clinton Global Initiative. He is an internationally recognized speaker and has delivered over 100 keynote addresses on the topic of sustainable business around the world. Dr. Hart has also published more than 70 papers and authored or edited seven books with over 5,000 Google Scholar citations in all.
