Carmine Di Sibio, Former Global Chairman and CEO of EY, to Keynote School of Business Hooding Ceremony

Carmine Di Sibio, former Global Chairman and CEO of EY, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2025 Wake Forest School of Business Graduate Hooding Ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m. in Wait Chapel on the university’s Reynolda Campus.

This special event honors master’s degree recipients in management, accountancy, business analytics and business administration, marking the completion of their graduate studies.

“It’s an incredible honor to be speaking before the graduates of the Wake Forest School of Business. The knowledge they have gained at one of the finest business schools in the country will serve them well in an ever-changing, dynamic business world,” said Di Sibio, who retired in 2024 from a distinguished 39-year career with EY.

EY is one of the largest professional services organizations in the world, achieving billions in revenue and serving clients in more than 150 countries. Prior to being elected Chairman and CEO, Di Sibio served as EY Global Managing Partner–Client Service, leading the execution of the organization’s global strategy and its four geographical areas and four service lines. He was instrumental in the creation of EY’s Global Innovation team, which focuses on redefining how EY uses technology to transform existing services and develop new solutions.

Di Sibio also made significant strides in promoting sustainability and inclusivity at EY. Under his leadership, the organization achieved carbon neutrality and appointed its first-ever Chief Sustainability Officer. Additionally, he co-chaired EY’s Global Diversity and Inclusiveness Steering Committee, which works to maximize the power of different opinions, perspectives and cultural references within the organization.

Originally from Italy and the first in his family to graduate from college, Di Sibio has a career spanning nearly four decades of global financial services, risk management and leadership. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Colgate University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Beyond his role at EY, he continues to contribute to the business community as a board member of PayPal, Prudential Financial, Evolver.ai and the Wake Forest School of Business Board of Visitors.

A livestream of the hooding ceremony will be available. More information can be found at commencement.wfu.edu.
